Welcome to Naropa University

On behalf of the Naropa faculty and staff, I congratulate you on your acceptance to the university. We are delighted that you have chosen to join this unique and wonderful teaching and learning community. You are now embarking upon an exciting new path of learning, exploration and personal growth. Please know that you are joining an institution whose sole purpose is to empower and equip students to change our world for the better. Naropa strives to provide its students with a transformative educational experience that is rooted in integrated intellectual inquiry, creative inspiration, discipline and compassion. 

We are an institution that is recognized for our passion for service. Community involvement, active participation, and inclusion are the distinctive attributes of a Naropa education. That being said, I challenge you to get involved, help make Naropa better, be a force for positive change in the global community and/or through your compassion and service, be a beacon of illumination and hope. Put your stamp on Naropa and the world! We offer many diverse opportunities for service and engagement, whether it be by joining the student government, by creating a campus community group or club, or by being an active, socially conscious member of the Boulder, national and global community. Always be aware that you are the master of your journey here.  However, at each step along  the way, our faculty and staff will guide and support you; the student body will encourage you; and the Naropa community, as a whole, will embrace you.

Never forget, you are at an institution unlike any other.  Our education is contemplative. Our environment is diverse. Our collective future is exciting.
